When crossing Las Vegas Blvd you must utilize the pedestrian overpass where provided. Do not jaywalk because you will receive a fine if you are caught.

Taxi is the most convenient way to travel in Las Vegas. Unlike other cities such as New York, you can not hale a taxi on the street. You have to use the taxi stand located in each hotel or establishment or call for a car. Five passengers is the maximum number of people allowed in a taxi (including children). If your group is larger than five you will have to take multiple taxis. The meter starts as soon as you enter and the car and continues to run the entire time you are in the vehicle.  If you need to pay by credit card or need a receipt check with the driver first. Â
*When traveling by taxi ask your driver to take the back street rather than Las Vegas Blvd to avoid traffic delays. This will save you money.
